Valerie and Fabrice Closset-Gaziaux worked in Africa and then in France advising organic farmers and vignerons for 8 years before taking over a domaine in the southern Jura in 2008. They immediately began converting it to organic and biodynamic viticulture. They have 5ha (2ha Pinot Noir, 2ha Chardonnay and 1ha Savignin) on slopes between 250 and 480 meters altitude.  The grapes are harvested by hand, fermentation is with natural yeast and the use of sulphur is kept to a minimum. The goal of the domaine is to give a “human” character to the wines, by the work in the vineyards, the small size of the domaine, and the accessibility (drinkabilty) of the wines.
